Fisheries Sector Boost:

Fisheries Sector Boost: The Prime Minister will also inaugurate and commence 218 fisheries projects totaling around Rs. 1,560 crores. These initiatives are aimed at enhancing infrastructure and productivity within the fisheries sector, with expectations to create over 500,000 job opportunities. Key components of these projects include developing and upgrading fishing harbors, landing centers, and markets.
Vessel Communication System Launch:

Vessel Communication System Launch: Additionally, Prime Minister Modi will launch the National Roll Out of the Vessel Communication and Support System, costing about Rs. 360 crores. This project will see the installation of 100,000 transponders on fishing vessels across 13 coastal states and Union Territories. The system, developed by ISRO, will provide crucial communication capabilities and safety measures for fishermen at sea.
